Children’s Ministry

Children are important. It was Jesus who said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” Matthew 19:14 (NLT) The next verse tells us that Jesus reached out and touched each child and blessed them. When we love children, we touch the heart of God.

Nursery & Preschool:

In addition to the programs below, we offer a fully staffed nursery and preschool program at all services. All workers are screened and background checks performed. Your child will be safe with us.

Dig In – Sunday Connection For Kids

Sunday School has been replaced with Dig In. Dig In is a fun and exciting way to learn the important truths about the Bible. Our K-6 grade children meet together for a fun opening which includes an exciting video which introduces the weekly lesson. The children then break into small groups which provide a deeper look at the Bible passage through games, object lessons, music and more.

Big City Studios

Presenting the message of Jesus Christ is the goal of Z-Street Live @ Big City Studios. This innovative children’s program presents each week’s lesson in the context of a Big City Movie Studio. Praise and Worship is treated like a live television concert. Videos are creative and fun. Review takes the form of a game show in which the children get to participate. Big City Studios takes place at the same time as our adult worship. The kids love it.

Kids Blitz

Kids Blitz is a mid-week program for kids K-6. It is a unique program which is always changing and evolving. Kids Blitz uses popular themes to capture the attention of children. It features games, skits, videos and a time of devotion. It is our desire to create wonderful memories of their time in church. We want them to remember church as a place where they were loved, safe and had a good time.

Wild & Wacky Wednesdays

During the summer months, Kids Blitz becomes Wild & Wacky Wednesdays. While most church programs suffer during the summer months, Wild & Wacky Wednesdays gets bigger and bigger. Each Wednesday offers creative events like: Wacky Beach Ball Boogie, Wacky Balloon Dart Art, or Wacky Popcorn Blast. These events feature bizarre games, refreshments and a summer long devotional series.

Kidz Blitz Choir

In the Fall, Kids Blitz becomes our Kidz Blitz Choir. The children work together on a Christmas musical that is performed on a Sunday morning in December. This is the highlight of the year for many kids. Those who do not like singing or dancing help us with lights, staging, props and more.

Special Events

In addition to the programs mentioned above, our children’s ministry promotes several special events throughout the year. In the Fall, we have our annual Harvest Carnival. In the Spring, the children look forward to our Easter Eggstravaganza. In August, we always hold a special Kids Krusade.
